There was a time, not too far in the past, when our designers and testers would spend countless hours manually comparing design files with app screens making sure they matched. A time when designers would wear out the shoulders of our developers tapping and pointing and putting forth their best effort to put into words issues that were visual. Tired of witnessing this inefficiency in testing and communication we took to researching tools that helped alleviate this problem. Sadly, we came up empty.
So we decided to build our own. Pixelworm compares what you design with what your developer implements and in one magical swoop lists out every difference - automating your fit and finish testing. Not only does it significantly cut down time spent in design QA, it also eliminates miscommunication by displaying interface errors as they are meant to be - visually.
Pixelworm is young, but its ambition is grandiose. It is the first, and aims to be the last tool to be developed for the design QA phase. With many features to come soon, Pixelworm has a bright future of which we would like the entire app development community be a part of.
